Restoration of a vacuum tube radio includes a basic set of services designed to restore the radio to it's origianl condition: safe, reliable and a good quality sound. To determine the cost of repair/restoration of your radio we will inspect the chassis to determine it's problems and the parts and service needed. There is no cost for
this inspection.
radio restoration includes:
-clean the chassis
-replace all paper and electrolytic capacitors
-replace AC cord [ UL approved]
-replace resistors that are out of tolerance
-replace any wires that are aged and cracked
-install an AC fuse inline with AC cord and power transformer
-test all tubes and replace those that are bad or marginal
-refurbish all controls and switches
-inspect antenna
-calibrate and align all functions

-table radios: $ 50 plus parts and shipping
-floor models: $ 150 plus parts and shipping
